Terms of Service

Operator and service
TookEffect is operated by Gabriel Salera under the TookEffect brand. TookEffect provides a verified-execution boundary for explicitly connected and authorized targets. Its current production-proven Effects include GitHub Verified Merge, Cloudflare Workers Verified Deployment, and Vercel Verified Promotion. For a supported Effect, TookEffect binds exact intent, attempts the authorized action, reads the provider's authoritative state back, and retains integrity-protected Evidence and a signed receipt. TookEffect does not claim support or verification for providers, accounts, projects, repositories, or targets that have not been explicitly connected and authorized.
Your authorization
You must own or be authorized to administer every connected account and target. You are responsible for reviewing the exact target, requested action, relevant identifiers and versions, preconditions, Policy, and proposed Effect Contract before execution.
Evidence is not a guarantee
A receipt reports what TookEffect observed at the recorded time. APPLIED, NOT_APPLIED, and AMBIGUOUS verdicts are technical evidence, not legal certification, regulatory advice, or a promise that external systems will never change afterward.
Complimentary verification
Each TookEffect commercial billing identity may use one complimentary new live Verified Effect before a paid subscription is required. No payment card is required for that complimentary Effect. Replaying or resuming the same idempotent Effect does not create an additional complimentary entitlement. Creating another Workspace, Agent, Connection, or sign-in path does not intentionally reset the complimentary entitlement associated with that commercial identity. TookEffect may apply additional anti-abuse controls to prevent repeated complimentary use by the same organization or connected external account.
Developer plan
Developer costs USD 19 per month and renews automatically until canceled. It is intended for one human member and currently includes up to 1 Workspace, 3 Agent identities, 3 Verified Targets, and 1,000 new live Verified Effects in each rolling 30-day window.
Team plan
Team costs USD 79 per month and renews automatically until canceled. It currently includes up to 10 human members, 3 Workspaces, 20 Agent identities, 20 Verified Targets, and 10,000 new live Verified Effects in each rolling 30-day window, together with shared Workspace roles, approvals, Audit and collaboration features described on Pricing.
Enterprise
Enterprise access is arranged through a TookEffect Enterprise request and may use custom capacity, onboarding, governance or commercial terms. Features not expressly agreed or shown as available are not included. In particular, TookEffect does not represent unfinished organization SSO, fixed SLA, certification, or compliance programs as generally available Enterprise features.
Included usage
A new live Verified Effect consumes included plan usage. Idempotent replay or recovery of the same run does not consume another included action, and reading already-created Evidence or signed receipts does not consume the live-action allowance. Once an included allowance is reached, TookEffect may block additional new live mutations before provider execution while keeping existing Evidence readable. Automatic usage-overage billing is not enabled at launch.
Members, Agents and plan limits
A human Workspace member is different from an AI Agent identity. Developer allows one human member. Shared human access requires Team or a custom Enterprise arrangement. Plan limits are enforced by TookEffect's server-side entitlements and cannot be bypassed by directly calling the API. Pending Team invitations may reserve available member capacity until accepted, revoked, or expired.
Orders and payment processing
When paid checkout is enabled, orders are processed by Paddle.com as Merchant of Record. Paddle handles payment processing, applicable transaction taxes, buyer billing administration, receipts, and order-related payment support. TookEffect remains responsible for product and technical support.
Upgrades and downgrades
Self-service plan changes may be processed by Paddle using the billing treatment shown at the time of the change. TookEffect does not intentionally delete Evidence, receipts, Agents, Targets, or historical Audit merely because a subscription is downgraded or ends. If existing resources exceed a lower plan's limits, creation of additional resources or new live Effects may be restricted until the Workspace returns within the applicable entitlement.
Cancellation
For subscriptions processed through Paddle, you may cancel future renewals through Paddle's customer portal. Cancellation stops future subscription renewals but does not erase prior Evidence. New mutations may be disabled when paid access ends, while previously issued Evidence remains readable subject to TookEffect's retention policy.
Refunds
TookEffect subscription payments are generally non-refundable once the service has been used. Cancellation prevents future renewals but does not automatically refund payments already made. Refunds may be considered for qualifying technical issues, incorrect charges, or where required by applicable law. Where Paddle processes the purchase as Merchant of Record, Paddle's applicable Buyer Terms and Refund Policy also apply as described in the Refund Policy.
Agreement at purchase
Before starting a paid checkout, you must confirm that you agree to these Terms and the Refund Policy, including the recurring price and automatic renewal of the plan you selected and its published included-usage and resource limits. If you do not agree, do not submit the order.
Acceptable use
Do not use TookEffect to access systems without permission, evade provider or organization controls, introduce malicious payloads, probe other accounts, resell unauthorized access, repeatedly create accounts or Workspaces to evade complimentary or paid limits, abuse the service through excessive automated traffic, or violate applicable law or provider terms.
Availability and liability
The service is provided on an as-available basis. GitHub, Cloudflare, Vercel, Paddle, network, and other third-party outages can delay or prevent execution, observation, checkout, or subscription administration. To the extent allowed by applicable law, TookEffect is not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
